Edit: I just desire to add that I have fallen in like with Arpege...it is truly superb!! And that i now get where the comparison without.five is coming from, definite similarity, but this a person is in some way extra properly rounded IMO.
My mother used to wear this splendor and it will make me unfortunate to smell the More moderen variations of it. I've lovely memories linked to this fragrance, I want I'd access to it now too.

To me, it opens in a blast of jasmine (and maybe a citrus note ?), but following half-hour turns to a far more masculine scent on my pores and skin, almost bitter, sort of fecal. Other fragrantica person explained to me it would be the civet Take note. It just won't work for me.
andy812 in reply - it'd be unisex, I dress in the modern incarnation commonly as I get plenty of citrusy bergamot but also jasmine and ylang ylang. It can be Attractive, gentle and hopefully cheap ample so that you can try.
I don't dislike this, but like Chanel No. 5, when I used to be website escalating up during the '60s and '70's, the unmarried academics in the center East wore both of these fragrances.

"Arpege" is about a wonderful, sensual balance of different woods, that feels hazy, languid and nocturnal; hefty but gentle in how it swirls close to you, like puffs of exquisite incense.
Update: I last but not least opened and experimented with my new, reformulated Model of Arpege EDP, and I had been pleasantly surprised. It isn't the outdated Arpege, no; Regrettably, nothing can carry that beauty back.
